The activity of the sludge employed in two UASB reactors, inoculated with different types of sludge, and then converted in AnMBRs, to promote hydrolysis, has been investigated at different temperatures to advance the current knowledge on the adaptation of anaerobic hydrolytic enzymes to low temperatures.
